Monday 18 July 2011 CLUB MEETING
FRUIT: A POPENOE FAMILY HISTORY. Dr Popenoe is a Lake
County Extension Director in Tavares and has a rich heritage in
horticulture. Her family collected wild avocados and date palm types
introducing these and many other tropical fruits to the United States and
the Americas. Today, most of us enjoy the fruits of their labors.
New member, Steven Korpacz, owner of Twigs & Berries in
Titusville, will be bringing mangos to sell at the 18 July meeting.
